Trump added that despite having a significant trade deficit, the United States has decided to move forward but only with more balanced and fair trade.
He said should any country decide to raise their tariffs, whatever number they choose will be added to the percentage the U.S. has charged.
More deals are expected to be announced later on Wednesday.
