Trump Cuts Off Biden’s Billions for Illegals—American Taxpayers Win Big [WATCH]

President Donald Trump signed an executive order late Wednesday night prohibiting the use of federal taxpayer money to support illegal immigration, directing government agencies to end programs that provide financial benefits to illegal aliens.

The Trump administration emphasized that the order is intended to ensure “taxpayer resources are used to protect the interests of American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

Under its provisions, federal departments must identify and terminate any federally funded initiatives that offer benefits to those in the country unlawfully.

The order also aims to prevent federal funds from being used to support “sanctuary” policies that shield illegal immigrants from enforcement.

“My Administration will uphold the rule of law, defend against the waste of hard-earned taxpayer resources, and protect benefits for American citizens in need, including individuals with disabilities and veterans,” the order states.

A fact sheet released by the White House reinforced this message, stating, “President Trump is committed to safeguarding Federal public benefits for American citizens who are truly in need, including individuals with disabilities and veterans.”

The surge in illegal immigration has placed a massive financial burden on American taxpayers. According to the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee, the cost of caring for illegal aliens and those who entered the country unlawfully has reached approximately $451 billion since January 2021.

The executive order references data from the Federation for American Immigration Reform, which estimates that American taxpayers spend at least $182 billion annually to cover expenses related to 20 million illegal aliens and their children.

Of that total, $66.5 billion comes from federal expenditures, while state and local governments contribute an additional $115.6 billion.

Additionally, the Center for Immigration Studies estimated that just one million illegal aliens could cost taxpayers $3 billion annually through access to welfare programs.

Under the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996, such programs are not intended for illegal immigrants.

However, those granted parole status are reclassified as “qualified aliens,” making them eligible for benefits—with full access granted after five years.

The Trump administration directly blamed former President Joe Biden for fueling illegal immigration and directing taxpayer funds to support it.

The executive order states that federal and state taxpayers have spent more than $16.2 billion on Medicaid-funded emergency services for illegal aliens due to Biden’s policies.

The estimate comes from the Congressional Budget Office.

“The Biden Administration gave billions in taxpayer dollars to left-wing groups that facilitated mass illegal migration and provided legal services to challenge deportation orders,” the White House fact sheet states.

Furthermore, since 2021, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has allocated more than $1 billion to assist illegal aliens.

Trump’s executive order aligns with his long-standing commitment to secure the border and prioritize American citizens.

During his campaign, he vowed to put an end to policies that encourage illegal immigration and place unnecessary strain on taxpayer-funded programs.

“President Trump has delivered on his promise to secure the border and prioritize the needs of American citizens, taking immediate action to put an end to the previous Administration’s border crisis,” the White House fact sheet declared, highlighting additional immigration-related measures taken since Trump’s return to office on Jan. 20.
