Trump Appoints Pam Bondi to Lead Task Force Against Anti-Christian Persecution [WATCH]

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will be signing an executive order to establish a task force aimed at eliminating anti-Christian bias.. The initiative will be led by former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi.. “To confront such weaponization and religious persecution today, I’m signing an Executive Order to make our attorney general who’s a great person—the head of a task force to eradicate anti-Christian bias,” Trump said.. Dennis Quaid’s #1 Warning for Americans. “It’s about time,” he added.. The announcement comes amid concerns over the Biden administration’s handling of pro-life activists.. Critics have pointed to the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI’s aggressive prosecution of pro-life demonstrators while largely ignoring violent actions by Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists.. One of the most high-profile examples is the prosecution of dozens of pro-life Christians under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.. In October 2022, eleven pro-life activists were arrested following a peaceful demonstration at an abortion facility in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.. The DOJ released a statement at the time identifying the individuals charged:. “Chester Gallagher, Heather Idoni, Calvin Zastrow, Coleman Boyd, Caroline Davis, Paul Vaughn, Dennis Green, Eva Edl, Eva Zastrow, James Zastrow and Paul Place were indicted for federal offenses in connection with an alleged reproductive health care clinic blockade in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, on March 5, 2021. Gallagher, Idoni, Calvin Zastrow, Boyd, Davis, Vaughn and Dennis Green were charged with a civil rights conspiracy. All 11 defendants were charged with a Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) offense,” the DOJ stated.. Among those arrested was Paul Vaughn, whose home raid by armed FBI agents drew sharp criticism.. Video footage taken by Vaughn’s wife captured agents surrounding their home and arresting Vaughn at gunpoint in front of his family.. The agents refused to answer questions before leaving the property.. Retired FBI agent Steve Gray spoke out against the tactics used in Vaughn’s arrest, noting that even gang and organized crime suspects were often handled with less force.. If convicted, the defendants each face up to 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $350,000.. In response to what he described as a political crackdown on pro-life activists, Trump issued pardons for every pro-life protester prosecuted under the Biden administration’s DOJ.. The newly established task force under Pam Bondi is expected to focus on addressing similar cases of what Trump and his supporters have called anti-Christian discrimination.. Further details regarding the executive order and the scope of the task force’s authority are expected to be released in the coming days.
