Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) made explosive allegations on the House floor Monday, accusing her former fiancé, Patrick Bryant, and three of his business partners of committing rape, voyeurism, and other forms of sexual abuse against herself and at least a dozen women, including minors.. Mace stated that she discovered over 10,000 digital files containing photos and videos that allegedly document the crimes.. She said the evidence was found on Bryant’s phone in November 2023 and included nonconsensual recordings of female employees, wives of male employees, girlfriends, and other women who were unaware they were being filmed or photographed.. Mace told Congress that her findings included “upskirt photos” of at least one underage girl—the daughter of one of Bryant’s business associates.. “Last year, I had to tell a woman that she’d been raped, and she didn’t even know it,” Mace said, explaining that she found a video of a business associate sexually assaulting an incapacitated woman while Bryant and another associate recorded the act.. Mace described the footage, saying, “The two of them, the three of them business partners, the two of them had their phones out just like this. Filming her as she was being raped. And she was completely laid out. There was no movement. There was no life. I couldn’t even tell if this young woman was alive.”. During her remarks, Mace did not present any physical evidence but alleged that one of Bryant’s business partners tried to intimidate her from going public with the accusations.. She also criticized South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, claiming his office delayed investigating the allegations.. Mace stated that she reported the evidence to Wilson’s office, including claims that children were present at a property where a rape allegedly occurred, but social workers were never notified.. Bryant denied the allegations in a statement to The New York Times.. “I categorically deny these allegations,” Bryant said.. “I take this matter seriously and will cooperate fully with any necessary legal processes to clear my name.”. I heard my voice. I zoomed in on the video. The woman was me,” Mace recounted.. “My entire body paralyzed, and I couldn’t move.”. She claimed that after confronting Bryant, he “physically assaulted” her, forcing her into hiding.. She said she changed addresses at least four times in a year and has since been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).. “I still have the mark Patrick Bryant made on me,” Mace said. “Rather than see this mark as a scar, I see this scar as the mark of a free woman; free from a monster.”. During her speech, Mace listed multiple bills she has introduced to crack down on sex offenders and increase protections for victims.. The South Carolina AG’s office added that Mace has had direct contact with Wilson at multiple events over the past six months and has his personal cellphone number, yet never raised her concerns with him.. The office further stated that any investigation into criminal activity would need to be handled by local law enforcement agencies rather than the attorney general’s office.. The allegations made by Mace have sparked significant public scrutiny, and it remains unclear whether state or federal authorities will take further action.. Bryant and his associates have denied the claims, while Wilson’s office maintains that it has no formal involvement in any investigation related to Mace’s accusations..
