Former Republican Rep. George Santos has identified who he believes is the most unpleasant-smelling member of Congress, singling out longtime Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler.

During an appearance on comedian Jim Norton’s new podcast, Jim Norton Can’t Save You, on Wednesday, Santos was asked which lawmaker had the worst breath in Congress.
The question caught him off guard, causing him to laugh before shifting the conversation to body odor instead.
“I can say this for sure [with] no mental reservation,” Santos stated. “The worst body odor in Congress is definitely Jerry Nadler.”
Santos, 36, who briefly represented a portion of Long Island in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2023 until his expulsion in December 2023, did not hold back in his criticism of Nadler.

“Really, it’s so bad. It’s so bad,” Santos emphasized. “Dude, Jerry Nadler stinks. Dude, he stinks.”
He also recalled a particular incident from his time in Congress, accusing Nadler of frequently passing gas on the House floor.
“Jerry Nadler would waddle down that aisle and crop dust,” Santos claimed. “Like, it was every step of his waddle was a fart.”
“But the dude just stinks… he’s greasy and oily. Ewww. Take a shower, goddamnit!” Santos added.
Santos’ remarks come amid his ongoing legal troubles and efforts to repair his public image.
He was expelled from Congress after an Ethics Committee investigation found that he misused campaign funds, including spending taxpayer money on botox and adult content on OnlyFans. His removal made him the first Republican ever expelled from the House.
In August 2024, Santos pleaded guilty to wire fraud and identity theft, crimes that carry a potential prison sentence of two to 20 years.
Nadler, a Democrat representing New York, has held his seat in Congress since 1992 and has won multiple re-elections.
Santos expressed frustration over Nadler’s continued political success, noting that he had hoped for a different outcome in a 2022 Democratic primary challenge.
“You know what’s my biggest disappointment of the 2022 cycle? That Carolyn Maloney didn’t beat him,” Santos said, referring to the former Democratic congresswoman who lost to Nadler in a redistricting battle.
Nadler has not publicly responded to Santos’ comments.
