Elon’s DOGE Makes FEMA Illegal Alien Discovery as Noem Cleans Up Helene Cases [WATCH]

Following the closure of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) last week, Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is now investigating financial mismanagement at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). On January 20, 2025, the CEO of Tesla and owner of X, Elon Musk, made a statement during an event in Washington on Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration day. Early on Monday, Musk took to X to reveal that FEMA allocated $59 million in disaster relief funds to provide housing for illegal migrants in high-end hotels in New York City last week. Musk stated, “Transferring this money breaches the law and shows blatant defiance to the President’s executive order.” He added, “These funds are intended for disaster relief in the U.S., but they are instead being used for luxury accommodations for undocumented migrants!” A request for clawback will be issued today to recover those funds. Meanwhile, as Musk’s DOGE team looks into FEMA’s financial activities, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem traveled to North Carolina over the weekend to evaluate recovery operations from Hurricane Helene. The Governor of South Dakota is also involved. Kristi Noem (R-SD), nominated by President Donald Trump to head the Department of Homeland Security, is set to appear before senators for a confirmation hearing on January 17, 2025, in Washington. Discussing FEMA’s response initiatives, Noem highlighted notable advancements in clearing a backlog of disaster cases. “President Trump visited these areas and, in under 20 days, managed to secure more than $54 million for affected families and helped register 2,600 families who had previously not received assistance to access available programs,” Noem mentioned. She also emphasized the swift resolution of claims, stating, “We have reduced the number of active cases by nearly 80 percent in just the last five days.” President Trump is making certain that communities receive the attention they deserve.
